Last week 在 MTC!
Here's some highlights:
-Saw some of our teachers at the temple!
-Went into the outside world for a doctors appointment
-Sang "Come Thou Fount" at the Thanksgiving devo!
-Elder Cook spoke at the Thanksgiving devo!
-We did a sick service project and it was really fun because I couldn't speak english that day!
-Christmas lights are finally on at the MTC!
-Live Jon Schmidt performance!!
-Watched a movie for some reason
-Temple part TWO
-總是打排球 (Always play Volleyball)

Guess who's team we are already on. The winning team! Satan is the one who wants us to feel fear and despair. Give Satan a nice strong kick in the mouth and choose to feel joy :)
As I have been preparing to leave for the field I have been thinking about humility (again). This is not my mission, it is God's.
"If you surrender, if the Lord wins, you win also. If you win, if your will prevails, you and the Lord both lose. The only way to win is to lose. Lose yourself in the Lords work and you will win beyond your wildest imaginations" (Lawrence E. Corbridge).
My task at the MTC was to learn Chinese. Now my task is to forget myself. "This is not about obedience, its about intelligence" (Lawrence E. Corbridge) I will be a better missionary, disciple, friend and person if I lose myself. I know this to be true for all people :)
