Week 73 七十三週 - February 23, 2026 - Da'An English Ward

大家好！！

Highlights:

-Went to a 請客 (Member Meal) at Presidents house??? He is in my ward

-Went to visit Gretchen (our new member) and she 請客ed (fed) us!

-Went to Peggys house! (Also a new member)

-Talked to some Filipinos in a park and one of them can't read super well since her eyes are bad, but she was able to read the Book of Mormon! 瞎子能看得見！(The blind could see)

-Learned a lot about Muslim beliefs!

-Had interviews

-Accidentally found at an cosplay convention

-Read the scriptures with a man from Egypt in Arabic on the street

READ THIS PART

I've been reading this book that explains what the Book of Mormon tells us that the Bible does not and its so interesting!!!

Here are some things that the Book of Mormon clarifies:

-we must be baptized by immersion

-children do not need baptism

-Jesus literally bled from every pore(not metaphorically)

-Sacrament is symbolic not literal

-The sacrament prayers

-Satan is not a figurative being

-The plan of salvation (the word plan in reference to the plan of salvation doesn't appear once in the Bible) (thats insane)

-2 Nephi 2 + clarity about the Fall

-The name of the church

-What faith actually means (Alma 32)

-A sequenced order of the doctrine of Christ

-The meaning of spiritual death and clarity about the word 'hell'

-What the tree of life actually means/represents

-The Allegory of the Olive trees referenced in Romans 11

And many more I haven't finished the book yet :)

The one I liked the most was that the Book of Mormon talks about the nature of Satan the most out of any book of scripture. It gives us very clear instructions about how we will be tempted and how we can avoid it!

No wonder prophets have admonished us to read the Book of Mormon every day!

This is the spiritual power that we actually need in our day to day lives. We will be tempted daily and therefore need admonishment and instruction daily!

2 Nephi 28:

21 And others will he pacify, and lull them away into carnal security, that they will say: All is well in Zion; yea, Zion prospereth, all is well—and thus the devil cheateth their souls, and leadeth them away carefully down to hell.

The Book of Mormon is like the Screwtape letters by C.S Lewis but actually from the mouth of God. It doesn't get better than this.

We have started to make plans with our friends against Satan to help them get to church, and it works! Once people know what source their thoughts are coming from, it makes it way easier for them to resist the bad thoughts and make choices that will actually bless them.

The Book of Mormon can help us do this everyday! So read it! Every day!

Week 72 七十二週 - February 16, 2026 - Da'An English Ward

大家好！！

Highlights

-Saw a turtle

-Went to Taipei 101

-Went on a cool hike

-Had Zone conference (cried)

-Got to play abide with me tis eventide on the guitar at Zone conference and sing with my Beloved Sister Linford and Sister Hendrickson

-Had to say goodbye to Sister Atkinson

-Someones first line to us was "I believe in Jesus more than you"

-Got bashed by an RC????? (Recent convert) (cried)

So as we know Alex Honnald free soloed Taipei 101 a couple weeks ago so of course Zone Conference was about him. (That is an exaggeration)

I loved it because anything with ropes or climbing and doing hard things related to the gospel is how I was RAISED!

When he climbed El Cap he knew every move. He climbed it 50 times so as to be able to be reflexive with the steps. The word I love the most is meticulous.

Our purpose in life is to be meticulous in our imitation of Christ so His character becomes reflexive to us. This is our El Cap.

Only then can we sit with Him in His throne and enjoy Eternal Life :)

Is there not a type in this thing? We are the children of God and He has given us the power of creation!!

According to the law of occupied space, two things cannot exist in the same place at the same time. If we are saying negative things, positivity cannot exist there. On the other hand, if we say positive things, negative things cannot exist there!

We can create the world around us with the things that we say.

Anyways this is one of my inputs I am focusing on this week!

Week 71 - 七十一週 - February 9, 2026 - Taibei English Ward

大家好!!

Highlights:

-One of the most humbling weeks of my mission

-Got 傳教ed (Proselyted) by some Koreans that came into our chapel, asked for a chapel tour and then 傳教ed us

-Had to say goodbye to Sister Tuck?????

-Went to a 請客 (Member meal) in english ?????

-English church?????

-Got bashed ????????

-Did a cool lesson half French half Chinese

-Met our friends and RCs for the first time

-Met one of the fake investigators from the MTC that was not a member and had zero interest it was crazy

-Got 傳教ed (Proselyted) by Muslims

-English Church?????

READ THIS PART

This week God humbled me to the dust. I literally can't do anything without the Holy Ghost. He has made it impossible to do so.

I appreciate the challenges and opposition I am forced to experience here but its hard! Every day my testimony is tested.

I thought I knew how to be a missionary, but now it feels like every person we talk to says something I've never had to respond to before and it's scary. I like knowing what I'm doing but God would have me continue learning. Everyday is a battle against the fear of men! (Sometimes literally)

This is how God comforted me:

Doctrine and Covenants 68

5 Behold, this is the promise of the Lord unto you, O ye my servants.

6 Wherefore, be of good cheer, and do not fear, for I the Lord am with you, and will stand by you; and ye shall bear record of me, even Jesus Christ, that I am the Son of the living God, that I was, that I am, and that I am to come.

After I read this scripture I was reminded of how I used to sing all the time wherever I went at the beginning of my mission. I started singing while we were biking, and it made the opposition and challenges sweet and cheerful. I love that God commands us to be of good cheer. It works!

All I have to do is a be an obedient tool in His hands. Bear testimony of the divinity of the Savior and His restored church. Open my mouth. He can do it.

And the same goes for all of you :)

God can do His work!

Week 70 七十週 - February 2, 2026 - 新竹 Xinzhu

大家好！

Highlights:

-Went finding at the great and spacious building

-Infiltrated world gym (went in for a tour during dinner but then 傳教ed instead)

-We went talent finding and some fun guitar games in ECG

-Went into the celestial kingdom (visited 李家庭[Li Family]) (Their 3 year old read Helaman 5:12 out loud in perfect English during the spiritual share it was crazy)

-Went finding at a hike with a ton of people and visited a member with a bread shop nearby

-Had to say goodbye to a ton of people that I really love because guess what, transfer news came in and I'm whitewashing the English Ward Still not sure who came up with this idea but sadly my worst fear has come true～

God always comes up with ways to humble me

Words of Mormon 1

18 Wherefore, with the help of these, king Benjamin, by laboring with all the might of his body and the faculty of his whole soul, and also the prophets, did once more establish peace in the land.

I love King Benjamins example. The faculty of his whole soul!!!

I am so excited to give the faculty of my whole soul to this next transfer. Its been a while since I've been so utterly sent to the unknown, but it will require me to rely so much more on my Savior and my Heavenly Father. Nothing less than the faculty of my whole soul will do.

And that goes for you all as well :)
