Highlights:

     -Zone conference! Learned better how to use the Book of Mormon!

     -Exchanged with Sister Kuch!!

     -Had a 請客 （Member meal） with Betty!!!!!

     -Saw some amazing finding miracles finding families !!

     -Saw 2 parrots while running

I just want to record the way that God used the Book of Mormon to answer my prayers yesterday: 

We had a rough day at church. And when that happens you feel very small and inadequate.

Then I read this verse:

Ether 13:

13 And I was about to write more, but I am forbidden; but great and marvelous were the prophecies of Ether; but they esteemed him as naught, and cast him out; and he hid himself in the cavity of a rock by day, and by night he went forth viewing the things which should come upon the people.

Ether, a fantastic prophet, very spirit led, very purpose focused was still "esteemed as naught". God spoke through me through the Book of Mormon and said 'its okay. You aren't a failure. You are doing what you are supposed to'

The Book of Mormon can truly speak to our soul :) Read it! Every day!

Week 77 七十七週 - March 24 - Xinpu 新埔

大家好！

Highlights:

     -Temple P day!

     -Had meeting with President and Sister Whiteley

     -One of my trainees was at MLC with me :)

     -6 Zone MLC 

     -Did a Temple tour! Saw some old friends

     -Had a lesson with a family in their home and went to their house to help them use the MRT to get to church:) 

     -Got Costco Muffins

     -1 hour of biking every day Xinpu is the best area EVER

     -I've never run somewhere more beautiful

Mormon 7. His last words. I love what he chooses to tell us:

     4. Have faith in Jesus Christ

     5. Resurrection and Judgement 

     6. Get baptized

The gospel is the most important thing.

I had a dream a couple transfers ago where aliens invaded (classic I know) and they gave us a time limit for how long we had to live before they were going to end the world. We called all our friends with great urgency and told them '[insert name here]' you need to get baptized right now'

I've never been more urgent in fulfilling my missionary purpose and I did everything I could to save as many souls as possible.

What would you do if you found out you were going to die tomorrow ?

This dream taught me what urgency really means--and the urgency at which God wishes His children to come home.

Don't get complacent/distracted by things with no eternal significance!!!

Week 76 七十六週 - March 16, 2026 - DaAn English Ward

 大家好!!!

Highlights 

    -淡水(Danshui) on pday

    -Went on a blitz with Sister Roberts!

    -Went to 宜蘭 (Yilan) for some lessons in person

    -Elder Kearon came and spoke to our mission!!! He originally wasnt' going to but after our fast, he scheduled a time to speak to us!! It was amazing !!

   -He also came on Sunday!!! And almost all of Taiwan came--it was like Alma 17--seeing all my RCs and past wards 朋友s:) (Friends)

    -Transfers! Im moving to 新埔 (Xinbu) to be an LSTL with 林姐妹:) (Sister Lin) So excited!!

Sister Pan at Elder Kearon's Devotional

Week 75 七十五週 - March 9, 2026 - Da'an English Ward

 大家好！！

Highlights:

     -Ruth 請客 (Member meal)

     -There was a big women's conference so the whole universe was at our chapel!!! It was so fun (金華 (Jin hua) privilege) it was a crazy crossover episode of all my past areas 

     -請客 (Member meal) with the Blairs ! 

     -Went on exchanges with Sister Linford :)

     -Read the Great Divorce by C.S Lewis

     -To prepare for Elder Kearon's coming to Taiwan, our whole mission is doing a study plan together and its SO fun

     -lots of miracles at church! People pulling up day of!

     -Had a Filipino potluck after church They sang The Climb for the Elder in our ward who is going home 

     -Had an amazing lesson with a friend that was having a lot of doubts about setting a baptismal date but she finally accepted!!! The spirit literally felt like my heart was on fire we all shed tears. 10/10

READ THIS PART

As we all know, one of my mottos is "The Inconvenient Messiah" inspired by an Elder Holland BYU devotional with that title. I finally found a scripture that explains it!!

This is Paul explaining sin and enmity with God (or in other words, pride) to the Romans:

Romans 1:28

28 And even as they did not like to retain (discern, choose) God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate (worthless, unable to stand test) mind, to do those things which are not convenient

Lets break this down:

1. "They did not like to retain (discern, choose) God"

     --> Pride begins with an enmity towards God. Not choosing him, or choosing to do things your way

2. "God gave them over to a reprobate (worthless, unable to stand test) mind"

     --> When we choose our own way instead of Gods, our mind becomes reprobate, or 'unable to stand test'

I love this because I re-read the Great Divorce this week (shoutout to Sister Pantig) and its basically a commentary about what Heaven is like.

Basically, Heaven is a place that you have to grow stronger in order to go. I could go on and on about this but we must become changed in order to inherit the Kingdom of Heaven!!! In Chinese its 承受天國 (inherit the kingdom of heaven) where 承受 means to bear. 

Our pride makes us reprobate, or unable to undergo the testing that is required to 'bear' or 承受 Heaven. SO be humble. And be changed.

I read in 3 Nephi 9 today when Christ dies and the entire Nephi and Lamanite world becomes deformed. Cities are buried and burned. I was struck with the amount of change that occurred in the land. The Atoning sacrifice of our Savior will change us to an unprecedented degree!

3. "To do those things which are not convenient"

     --> THE INCONVENIENT MESSIAH

Read Matt 3. Satan makes sin very convenient and easy, but Jesus never yields. The path to follow Christ requires us to take the less convenient road. This is what we teach our friends, what we practice at church and what the prophets and apostles exhort us to do. 

Wake up early for church and to read scriptures. Take the extra time needed to minister. The Inconvenient Messiah!

Week 74 七十四週 - Mar 3, 2026 -Da'An English Ward

 大家好!

Highlights:

    -Went to 淡水 (Danshui)

    -Got sang to at a 請客 (Member Meal)

    -Shilin night market finding found a friend who asked us if she could come to church!!

    -Sanjay got baptized and it was the most emotional baptism of all time!!!

    -Our friends are having some amazing spiritual experiences

    -Had to use the code word to escape a street contact

    -Had a lot of very interesting conversations

    -Went to the temple!!!!

    -Got new contacts! 

    -Elder Kearon is coming to Taiwan so excited!!!

   25 I marveled, for I understood that the Savior spent about three years in his ministry among the Jews and those of the house of Israel, endeavoring to teach them the everlasting gospel and call them unto repentance;

   26 And yet, notwithstanding his mighty works, and miracles, and proclamation of the truth, in great power and authority, there were but few who hearkened to his voice, and rejoiced in his presence, and received salvation at his hands.

I feel so grateful that I get to stand shoulder to shoulder with the Savior as a missionary. We see so many miracles, but sometimes it feels like this ^^^. 

It gives me comfort to know that even Jesus was rejected and bashed and hated. His character is beyond my comprehension. 

Anyways the thought this week is basically I am marveling at Christ. He is amazing. I am coming to know Him very personally here:)
