Week 32 - 三十二週 - May 12, 2025 - 新店 Xindian

 大家好!

潘姐妹 sent this picture to Lily's family on Mother's Day to show how diligently
Sister Wardle and Sister Lai are working

Highlights:
     -Bought a guitar 👀
-Ran into a guy on the street who was holding a mini turtle in his hand and said guy let us pet said mini turtle
-Found out one of our Elect friends religiously drinks coffee EEK (she cried in the closing prayer)
-Went on exchanges in 板橋 (Banqiao)! So fun! (Darrel the pony)
-Got locked out of the church with none of our stuff so we went finding (all we had was a piece of paper) and an hour later it was unlocked but no one was there. Insane miracle!
-Went to Nancys house and met her friends from Tokyo Japan! So cool! Everywhere I go I get to talk about where my family members served/will serve their missions! The blessings of mission are truly inumerable:)

This week I want to pay a special tribute to my mother.

I have been recently struggling with the concept of love. I've been asking people on the street what love means to them and their answers have led me to ponder the same question. What does love mean to me? How do I love? How can I express my love for others? What does it feel like for me to love others? It has truly perplexed me.

Without Charity, we are nothing. I was feeling so anxious that I didn't even understand what Charity was! I've been so afraid that recently my boldness is lacking the adequate amount of love that will bring people to the Savior.

But something of an answer dawned on me today.

It is only at certain times that I really understand the love of the Savior. One thing that has helped me understand this love was pondering upon the love my mom has for me!

Isaiah 63:99 In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old. Do not mothers do the same?
I ask myself often, "what would Jesus do?", but I've discovered that I ask another question just as much: "What would my mom do?"

This question is made even more meaningful to me because my mom served here, where I am, even in this same ward! It is truly my goal and my hope that I can come even close to being the kind of missionary that she was.
My mother is the most righteous person I have ever known. What a blessing it is to be able to be in a trial, think of her and know what I must do.

My mother paved the way of love and charity for me. As I think of her, I more deeply understand the love the Savior has for every person who has ever lived on the earth!

Mom, thank you for being there for me, especially during those times when I wanted to do it alone. You have paved the way of righteousness for me. Because of you, I know what it means to keep my covenants. I know the importance of family scripture study, prayer and meals. I know what it means to live the law of sacrifice and consecration! Thank you for your endless example of true discipleship :)
I love you!
