Lily's Mission Farewell was on September 29, 2024. Because of General Conference her farewell was combined with our ward's Fast and Testimony Meeting. The meeting was open for testimonies for about 20 minutes and then Lily and Emily sang "A Child's Prayer" in Chinese with Emmy accompanying. Emmy played it without sheet music and rocked it! Then Lily gave a talk on Testimony. It was an awesome meeting!
We had a luncheon afterwards at our home, which was super fun. We had moved our fast to a lunch-to-lunch fast to accomodate it.
That evening at 8pm President Roger Henriksen and Bishop Eric VanDrimmelen came over and set Lily apart as a full-time proselyting missionary. It was a sweet day.
